Kran

KRAN is the new wave generation band, international jazz quartet presenting only original music, full of new, exciting harmonical concepts and modern language. All the material has its roots in hard-bop music, with the same kind of energy adding new harmonical and rhytmical complexity. Although musicians come from different styles in jazz, the band is performing music, that sounds united and unique as well. Among odd meter compositions, with complex harmony, there are a lot of lyrical, simple pieces, that fullfill the artistic value of the group.
Kran as a band started to play together in 2006 in Odense (Denmark), where all four musician met. From the very beginning they performined in Denmark, Poland (where Tomasz Licak and Marek Kadziela come from) and Germany. The band did three big concert tours plying in clubs such as: Royal Jazz Club (Szczecin, PL), Tygmont (Warszawa, PL), Rura Jazz Klub (Wrocław, PL) Piec Art (Kraków, PL) B-flat, Bebop Bar (Berlin, DE), Dexter Jazzhus (Odense, DK).
